A quick note on “Dancing With The Stars”: A lot of people have been asking me about my signature triple kisses that I have been delivering on the show. The story is: I have been sharing triple kisses for years, it puts extra big smiles on everyones faces and you simply can’t pass enough love around!
Now, where were we…
Last week I told you the story of my return to Thailand to see the devastation and try and figure out how I could help this country, especially the children.
By making this trip, I was able to see, first hand, how much need there was after first responses had left. I went back to New York and focused on gathering knowledge about philanthropy and how I could help. After much thought, I decided to establish a foundation which would rebuild children’s lives after natural disasters and which would put 100% of donations straight to children, that is when Happy Hearts Fund was born.

I had never started a non-profit foundation before and I quickly realized that although it is a charity it is a real business. The process seemed daunting at first, so I reached out to my friends in the corporate and fundraising world to get their initial thoughts on my mission and get their expert advice on how to get this off the ground. So I went to school on their knowledge, and decided I needed to plan my first big fundraiser….
