A wise man once said, “beefing is a sport,” but are Drake and Pusha T going head-to-head on the field?

That is the question that was first brought up a month ago when G.O.O.D. music rapper Pusha T dropped a freestyle over Drake’s “Don’t F*ck With Me (Dreams Money Can Buy)” beat.

NEW MUSIC: Pusha T & Diddy “Changing Of The Guards”

On the “Don’t F*ck With Me” freestyle, Pusha made a few references that seem to be pointing at Drake.

“Local niggas hatin’ but I can’t blame ‘em/ Cleared the road to the riches but I can’t pave ‘em/ Put Trey up on your hook, still couldn’t save ‘em/ Better chance with a snowball hittin’/Now I’m back to the future/ my career deja-vu you/ when you motherf*kers thought I would barely survive/Rappers on their sophomores/ actin’ like they boss lords/ Fame such a funny thing for sure when n*ggas start believing all those encores/ I’m just the one to send you off, bonjour

See yourself as I pull up in that mirror tint/ skins vs blouses/ you mirror Prince/ Chappelle Show, all them Neal Brennans/ sketch comedy/ who is for real penning? The talk don’t match the leather/ the swag don’t match the sweaters/ the wolves don’t walk with shepherds/ These Margiela verses all of you mall dwellers/ off-the-rack suits looking like pallbearers/ Coffins for my old bitches’ orphans/ Daddy’s MIA like a dolphin/ play the Fendi bucket like a sharkfin/ Cool J-ing on you bitches but I’m dark-skinned/ We walked in, seats courtside, dap Diddy/ Will Ferrell on my walk by/ At the US Open/ there’s much more to Queens/ Versace blu-blockers, row behind Oracene/Push…no shots….but nothing goes unseen.”

EXCLUSIVE: Drake’s New Album Should Make Lil Wayne Watch His Throne

When asked in an interview, Pusha said he wasn’t talking about Drake in his freestyle, but that’s kind of hard to believe.

References to sweaters, which Drake loves to rock, sophomore albums, Trey Songz features, and chilling at the US Open, which Drake where spotted supporting his friend Serena Williams, all seem to be subliminals at Drake.

Drake soon responded that he didn’t think Pusha was dissing him, but if Pusha was dissing him, he should have said his name.

As many Drake fans know, his forthcoming album Take Care leaked late Sunday night. GlobalGrind got the chance to hear Drake’s song “Lord Knows” featuring Rick Ross, and we began to wonder if Drake was sending a subliminal back to Pusha.

Drake raps:

“I hear all of the jokes/ I know they tryna PUSH me/ I know that showin’ emotion don’t make me pussy/know I don’t make music for niggas who don’t get pussy/So those are the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me/ Lord knows, Lord knows, I’m heavy, I got my weight up/Roll This and boost your rate up/it’s time that somebody got paid.”

Drake has mentioned that he’s been a big fan of the Clipse, since his days as a teenager, but could those days be over?
