After George Zimmerman took the stand yesterday in a suit and shackles during his bond hearing, we not only heard testimony from his immediate family, but we also heard him give an unexpected apology to Trayvon Martin‘s parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton.

DETAILS: George Zimmerman Receives $150,000 Bail

As Judge Kennth Lester ruled George could be set free on $150,000 bail, leaving George and his family to come up with 10%, or $15,000, and his attorneys to put up the rest, Mr. Zimmerman may very likely walk free any minute now.

After being arrested for second degree murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon, Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara persuaded the judge that Zimmerman was not a flight risk and posed no threat to his community.

CBS News reports,

Lawyers were working out the conditions and security restrictions of Zimmerman’s release Saturday, as well as the precautions for his safety. It’s possible he could stay outside Florida while awaiting trial. And it’s all but certain his location will be kept secret.

He’s expected to post bond and leave jail sometime this weekend.
