Dakota Fanning may have started her career as a child star, but she has grown tremendously since then and her style reflects it.
The 18-year-old graced the cover of the May issue of C Magazine photographed by Randall Slavin and decked out in Chanel Haute Couture throughout. However more than looking great, Dakota was also able to express her feelings about being an 18-year-old college student and being in love.

On being in school:
“I’m not going to school for a career. I’m going for my own interest, for myself. I already know what I want to do forever.”
On her age in the industry:
“I feel like this new chapter as an adult is almost like starting over. That’s the interesting part about getting older in this business. I’m excited to present myself differently.”
On being in love: the Effie actress said:
“Ahh, not really. No. I would have to say no… but Effie wasn’t really in love with her husband, either, which made [filming the movie of the same name] easier.”
