Legendary rapper/DJ/producer Pete Rock is not a happy camper, and Lupe Fiasco is at the root of his unhappiness. 

NEW MUSIC: Lupe Fiasco “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)

Lupe Fiasco released a Pete Rock “They Reminisce Over You” sampled track entitled “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)” off his forthcoming album … and Pete Rock hates it! 

After hearing Lupe’s track last night, Pete Rock got on Twitter to express his dislike for the track he produced 20 years ago.

Pete Rock’s “T.R.O.Y.” record dropped in 1992 and was inspired by Pete’s fallen friend who died tragically. “T.R.O.Y.” is easily one of the best hip-hop records of all time. 

There’s hasn’t been a response to Pete Rock from Lupe, but we’re figuring he’ll have a good reason as to why Pete Rock’s track inspired his new song.
