After winning her second medal, it appears some folks had a lot to say about Gabby Douglas‘ hair and her chosen hairstyle.
Well, the champion is speaking her mind and letting folks know she likes hair just the way it is.

According to the AP, the 16 year old says:
“I don’t know where this is coming from. What’s wrong with my hair? I’m like, `I just made history and people are focused on my hair?’ It can be bald or short, it doesn’t matter about (my) hair.”
The site reports:
Douglas uses gel, clips and a ponytail holder to keep things in place while she competes, a style she’s worn for years.

Gabby added she has no plans of changing her hairdo anytime soon.
Hopefully people will start to give more attention and focus to Gabby’s amazing accomplishments as the women’s all-around gymnastics champion and not her hair, which is just fine the way it is!
