The violence in Chicago has become an epidemic, most recently taking the life of 16-year-old rapper Lil Jojo this past Tuesday.

HE HAS A NAME: Chicago Rapper Lil Jojo Gunned Down (DETAILS)

Jojo had been in an ongoing beef with a member of up and coming Chicago rapper Chief Keef’s team, Lil Reese. Jojo was a part of the Brick Squad clique and released a diss song called ‪”3hunna k” aimed directly at Lil Reese and Chief Keef’s squad.

Sadly, after Jojo was gunned down, Chief Keef took to Twitter to tweet about his death, saying:

-Niggas dry snitching #ShhhhhhhhBrickboyz

-hahahahahhahahahahahahahaahhAAHAHAHAHA

#RichNiggaShit

-I Kno Da Real Brick Squad #300

-Its Sad Cuz Dat Nigga Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO

Now, according to the Chicago Sun Times, Chief Keef and Lil Reese are both being investigated in connection with the murder. The SunTimes spoke with Keef’s manager, Rovan Manuel, who told them:

“…He was unaware of the controversy.” It wasn’t until being told about the Tweet by the Sun-Times that Manuel realized why his phone rang incessantly Wednesday. His number was posted on Chief Keef’s Twitter page.

But Manuel told the Sun-Times he didn’t believe the message meant “anything personally.” He said Keef had a beef with JoJo only because “that kid made songs like Keef.”

“A lot of the stuff Keef does, that’s just cause he’s a kid,” Manuel said. “People forget that he’s a kid, a teenager … and kids make mistakes. He makes mistakes the hard way.”

If you follow Chief Keef on Twitter, you’ll note he claimed his Twitter was hacked last night. Both Keef and Reese will be investigated, though, despite this fact.
