Over the past few weeks, Clash has been accused by two other men of having inappropriate relations with them while they were still minors. The first man, Sheldon Stevens, claims that he and Clash had a sexual affair when he was 15 years old and Clash was 32 years old. Later, he recanted his statement and claimed that they had “an adult and consensual relationship” for a settlement deal where he won $125,000. However, he then alleged that he was pressured to recant his initial charge of being sexually exploited.
A week later, another underage sex charge emerged from a man named Cecil Singleton, who is suing Clash for $5 million.
The latest accuser has remained anonymous and alleges that he and Clash engaged “in some sexual activity” when he was 16 years old back in 2000, according to his lawyer. He filed a lawsuit at a Manhattan federal court on Tuesday. However, Clash’s lawyers have refuted his claim, stating that it has “no merit.”
Things are only getting worse for Clash, who was forced to retire from his nearly two decade stint at Sesame Street earlier this month.
