Sadly, another professional athlete succumbed to the pressures of life and commited suicide.
Jovan Belcher, 25-year-old linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs killed his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins at around 8AM Saturday morning, December 1 at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue before driving about five miles to the Chiefs’ Arrowhead facility where he took his own life.

Jovan, originally from West Babylon on Long Island, New York, attended school at the University of Maine and went undrafted in the 2009 NFL draft before getting picked up by the Chiefs.
Aside from the tragedy of Jovan’s murder-suicide, the saddest piece of news surrounding this story is that he leaves behind a 2-year-old and 3-month-old baby girl, Zoey.
