Taylor Swift has built up quite the reputation throughout her short career. You know what we’re talking about; she has a rep for dating a famous dude, breaking up with him and then writing a diss song.

Taylor’s latest split was with One Direction’s Harry Styles, a relationship which lasted about one long walk in Central Park.
The question remains: why don’t any of these short relationship work? Taylor gave a hint in the latest issue of VIBE magazine.
She said:
“Independence is something I’ve always needed, from when I was young,” she says, “but I love the idea of romance and falling in love. I’ve never really had a long relationship. So that’s something I think about for the future. It’s an interesting part of my personality: Part of me just wants to be alone.”

So, there you go, fellas: stop smothering her!
Taylor also adds that her career is the most important aspect of her life:
“I just know that if you’re not careful with things they can go away. I’ve seen people with careers that were great until they started taking them for granted. And I’m scared of that.”
