LA Lakers player Jordan Hill woke up yesterday to find that his Bentley vehicle was completely totaled, but fortunately he wasn’t in the car during the crash.

According to VIBE, Hill’s friend Michael Lacey was in the car when he drove into an apartment complex, and was taken in to custody on suspicion for driving under the influence.

A CHP spokesman said of the incident:

“Hill was not inside the car at the time of the crash. A man identified as Michael Lacey, 26, was booked into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.”

Authorities say that there was another person in the car, who was unidentified, but there are no details yet on whether they were injured or not.
