Ray J, you ain’t slick.

When the singer released his new single, “I Hit It First,” (with a very clear likeness of Kim Kardashian on the cover) he claimed that he was just having fun.

He wasn’t trying to create drama at all.

C’mon son. We all know you were throwing shade. And after the release of the video, with its very obvious Kim K doppelganger, straight down to her sleek ponytail, must we debate this obvious diss any longer?

But let’s not beat Ray J up. He’s not the first one to throw a celebrity look-alike all up in a video to make a point. Rappers and pop stars have been doing it forever – it was like the original subtweet before Twitter ever existed!

Here’s a look at our faves:

Rihanna & Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love”

RiRi just didn’t give a f*ck. Because this was clearly Chris Brown’s twin.

Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River”

Dude, we recognize that 2004 style paperboy hat and all-denim fit anywhere. It’s Britney b*tch!

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s “Dre Day”

“Used to be my homie, used to be my ace. Now I wanna slap the taste out yo’ mouth.” That Eazy-E reference wasn’t so subtle, now was it?

Pink’s “Stupid Girls”

Take your pic. Mary-Kate Olsen. Jessica Simpson. Paris Hilton. Pink went IN!!!

Tupac’s “Hit Em Up”

And I quote, “Biggie Smalls and Junior Mafia some mark ass bitches…” Why couldn’t we all just get along?!

Biggie Smalls & Junior Mafia’s “Get Money”

Speaking of B.I.G., he put all his marital problems on front street with this Faith Evans doppelganger…who is actually Charlie Baltimore. MESSY!

Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed”

Okay, not that Mariah looks anything like Eminem, but it’s clear who she is trying to portray. That feud is still mad confusing.
