There’s nothing like having a bundle of joy that truly does bring you a bundle of joy!
This past weekend was Mother’s Day weekend, and during a Mother’s Day event in support of her Shawn Carter Foundation on Saturday, May 11, Jay-Z‘s mom Gloria Carter revealed how much of a softy her son is when it comes to his own child, Blue Ivy.
“It warms my heart to see how he interacts with his daughter,” she told Us. “And when she says, ‘Papa,’ he just melts. He’s a great dad.”
Mama Carter also added:
“The amazing thing about being a grandmother is that you go get the kids, but when you’re tired, you can take them home.”
She even divulged that baby Blue is “very, very smart,” so smart in fact, that when she’s tired of you, she’ll just say “Bye, Bye!” It means you’re going to disappear.
That’s funny!
Gloria Carter’s own “baby” right now happens to be the Shawn Carter Foundation, which provides scholarship money for kids who have low GPA’s, and wouldn’t be able to fund an education otherwise.
