Macklemore is one of my favorite people in the world. Today, the Seattle native turns 30, and he deserves the happiest of birthdays.
Macklemore is a pretty incredible guy. Not only is he a dope rapper, he’s an extremely likeable person.
Seriously, though. He’s fully aware of the all the rapper stereotypes, embraces them all, and tears them all down…
He graduated from college [he got his bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College]
But that’s just scratching the surface. There’s so much more to love about him…
He always looks like he’s having the best time ever
He’s got moves for days
Seriously, for days
The Batman onesie that he wore in the “Thrift Shop” video is really as good as it gets
He supports gay marriage [and really equality for everyone]
He dresses up in capes and wigs during his concerts
And does this while supporting gay marriage [he really is a superhero]
He doesn’t give a fuck what you think
Seriously [sidenote: how fun does this look??]
Did you ever stop and think that this was the first line of his first verse in the song that really jumpstarted his career?
