Would you vote for something you don’t know about? Yes we are all busy with all of our personal tasks on hand, but given the opportunity to have even a minute of your time to request a copy of the Bill that the Congress is about to vote for on your behalf as a citizen…for the sake of the link that I provided below from the White House, let’s tackle Health Care Reform. Would you vote let anyone else vote for your rights when you have yet to see the pros and cons of the most recent Health Care Reform Bill? I was taken aback when I asked the Congress for the copy of the latest Health Reform Bill a few days before they vote for it, I did not get a response. Had I been in the White House in person as a por bono lobbyist that I have been as of late, it would be a bit of chase, but a copy is obtainable and it should be available for every Americans whose one of the most aspect of their lives, their health care, is at stake. Yes most of us may have seen the summarized version, but it’s not enough to negate it if the budget allocation is obscure to us and if it would really benefit each and every Americans. I don’t just want the HIGHLIGHTS of the Bill, I want the whole enchilada! Every american should be entitled to browse through it if given the time to see the entire Bill considering the fact of propagating ‘TRANSPARENCY’ is the current administrations motto. I can’t blame the Democrats for not casting a vote this past week when the Congress voted for the Health Care Reform Bill. The Democrats’ reason, according to Senator Snow, Republican Senator from Maine, the bill was so obscure to negate and it needs more intricate details that such Bill would work best for at least majority of the Americans. Come on now a Republican scrutinizing the ambiguity of her own parties proposed bill? How absurd is that? So what loopholes and/or pork-barrel spending is marked as ‘confidential’ or ‘classified’ with no further ado this time? What is the government hiding from us behind this latest Bill that passed? A lot has been exposed including, but not limited to the $30 million allocated for Blue Cross Anthem and marked as ‘CONFIDENTIAL’ or ‘CLASSIFIED’ is existent in that bill without further ado. Blue Cross of all health insurance companies who had their fair share of gains in the past few quarters of around 12%, then had the audacity to turn around and raise their premiums to their customers by 20%. How about Blue Cross notable consistency in declining a number of valid claims? I came across a few people who had Blue Cross and heard horror stories on how much they have to pay on top of their raised premiums as their share to be treated by their physicians accordingly. So the slippery slope in a number of people’s lives is inevitable. In due respect, I am not stating that all current bills and laws have been undisclosed to us accordingly, but can we please walk the talk about this ‘TRANSPARENCY’ motto? That way every single Americans can act accordingly in these important matters where their money as tax-payers are being allocated on. Is that too much to ask?
