Let me thank you for taking the time to tune into my blog. I’m new to this so bear with me. Today I wanted to discuss how important perspective and individuality are in relation to creativity.
Creativity is ‘the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships… to create meaningful new ideas.’ (Dictionary.com) So, who you are and how you think should be evident in what you create. The truth is, as an artist I’m tired of hearing the same stuff regurgitated and presented to me like its brand new.
Unfortunately, its easier to imitate than it is to innovate, and not to mention safer. Rickover said, ‘good ideas are not adopted automatically. They must be driven into practice with courageous patience.’ So the real question is: Do you want to Stand out or Fit In?
