Eminem feels that he let his fans down with his ‘Relapse’ album and he probably did, so on his new album ‘Recovery’ he promises he won’t. In his latest video ‘Not Afraid’ Em raps that ‘To the fans i’ll never let you down again, i’m back’. Seems like Eminem is taking a different direction than in previous album releases.
We all know the old formula for Em was to hit his fans with a funny record poking fun at pop culture i.e. ‘We Made You’, but this time around Em has abandoned all the bells and whistles and comes straight from the heart and the result is dope.
In a recent interview with BBC radio 1 Em said about the ‘Not Afraid’ single;
‘It was one of them records that, as soon as it was finished, I felt like it should be the one’ The whole production of Em’s new album is different, he is reaching out to producers and artist he’s never worked with before like Havoc of Mobb Deep and Rihanna.
