Where did all the rock’n’roll stars go? It’s a question that’s been on the lips of many a music critic and fan alike for some time now. In this post-everything musical landscape where no stones seem left unturned, is it still possible to create true icons? Looking at the past year’s rock’n’roll hopefuls, there’s one band that stands out head, shoulders, and to be honest, waist above the rest of the vanguard. They are, of course, The Drums.

They’ve supported Florence + The Machine during their 2010 Cosmic Love tour and Kings of Leon in Hyde Park, London. Taking a break from their European tour, the band is returning to the states on January 19th for a concert at the Studio at Webster Hall benefiting Dan Duggins, who suffered a massive Stroke and is without medical insurance. Duggins is a well-loved music educator in the New York music community and onetime drummer for indie rockers Hot Rod Circuit.

The Drums will be proceeded by Guards & The Hairs. Tickets are available HERE
