West Coast rapper Y.G. sat down with GlobalGrind for an exclusive video interview to talk about his favorite tattoo, smoking with Snoop Dogg, and bringing West Coast hip-hop back on the scene. Y.G. the 19 year old Compton based rapper, was signed to Def Jam in 2009 despite Def Jam’s allegiance to East Coast and Southern-based rap, signing acts such as Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, and Method Man.

But with over one and half million profile views on myspace, a pair of songs with over a million plays each and a third approaching seven digits, who could say no to the tatted teenager? Last year 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg picked up Y.G’s hit “Toot It and Boot” recorded a remix and filmed a music video with Y.G.
