Would you buy a watch from Miami Heat player and Cleveland transplant LeBron James? If you said yes, you might have some dollars burning holes in your pocket.

“Audemars Piguet and I strive for excellence in all our endeavors," James said in statement announcing his pairing with the luxury timepiece brand. "I am honored to be the next global brand ambassador and join the ranks of industry greats who have previously represented the brand. I am also excited to collaborate with AP on an exclusive timepiece that will be the ultimate symbol of our partnership."

AP and LeBron kicked off their partnership with a launch last week at SoHo House Miami. In attendance were British two-step singer Craig David, who performed at the event and Bron Bron's teammate Chris Bosh.

In addition to wearing Audemars Piguet timepieces (LeBron prefers the Royal Oak Offshore collection), James will be featured in a range of advertising and marketing campaigns. These will also involve James' charitable foundation called The LeBron James Family Foundation and other various special events.

After the break, more.
