’80s nasty girl group Vanity 6 were the sexy proteges of musical icon Prince. The group was formed by Prince’s then-girlfriend Denise Matthews, Brenda Bennett and Prince’s assistant Jamie Shoop. The group was originally called “The Hookers,” but Denise convinced Prince to let her change the group’s name to Vanity 6.

Vanity 6 was most known for performing in their sexy outfits and lingerie, while singing about sex. The song “Nasty Girl” was one of their biggest hits, which went number one on the R&B and dance music charts.
