Vogue Japan’s June issue hasn’t even hit our shores yet and already it’s already causing problems. Well, not problems exactly, but comparisons and a few perfectly arched eyebrows.

The magazine’s cover star is a gold Gucci dress worn Naomi Campbell who was photographed by Dutch husband and wife duo Inez & Vinoodh. The dress is from Gucci’s Fall 2011 collection and was also worn by Beyonce on the cover of her infamous L’Officiel “African Queen” issue, photographed by Mark Pillai. Who wore it better, Naomi or Beyonce? Hint: There’s a cell phone contract in it for you.

Campbell is nowhere to be found in Vogue Japan’s editorial pages. We guess the dress on Campbell speaks for itself. There are however, plenty of images of model Crystal Renn in a turban. Note to selves: Turbans are back. Get ’em!

After the break, traipse down memory lane and travel back to March for Beyonce’s take, plus check out Renn in colorful turbans.
