The creative journey of songwriting is being demystified before our very eyes on reality TV.

The network that does it best is Bravo, home of “Top Chef,” “Work of Art” and now “Platinum Hit” starring Jewel and Kara DioGuardi, two well-heeled and well-known songwriters who will judge the songwriting skills of musicians looking to become the next hitmaker.

With these two successful women mentoring contestants, the show is bound to be a hit.

The show premieres on Monday, May 30 at 10/9c and it gives viewers a front row seat to experience the journey and aspirations of these gifted songwriters, as well as an inside look at this unique creative process for the first time.

In the end, only one of 12 contestants will be crowned the ultimate hitmaker and walk away with a $100,000 cash prize, a publishing deal with Sony, BMI Songwriters The Writing Camp and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.
