Former White Stripes rocker Jack White is divorcing his model-singer wife, Karen Elson. The announcement comes just ten days after the couple celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary.
Jack met Karen when she appeared in the White Stripes music video for “Blue Orchid” and they tied the knot in Brazil on June 1, 2005.
The now ex-couple released a joint statement: “We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee,” the couple said.
The duo also planned a divorce party, “In honor of that time shared … an evening together in Nashville to reaffirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.”
