Kanye West’s ex-fiance Alexis Phifer spoke on Amber Rose’s subliminal diss during Jamie Foxx’s Foxhole Radio Show.
Amber Rose fired off a few shots at Alexis Phifer saying, “When I was out with Kanye, I became famous. He was with a girl for six years that he was going to marry. What’s her name again?”
Of course Alexis got wind of the indirect diss and she wasn’t too happy, but she was the bigger person by not addressing Amber at the time. In a recent interview with VIBE, Alexis had this to say about Amber:
“I believe that you get what you want out of a situation and Kanye will tell you, that I didn’t [want that attention]. It’s weird. I’ll get on the red carpet and over-criticize myself. I don’t want that attention. She wanted that and that’s what she got out of it. But if I want to go to King magazine right now and be in a sexy bathing suit I’m sure I’d generate some type of interest. It’s just the decisions you make that put you where you are. She is where she’s at because that’s where she wants to be and I’m where I’m at because that’s where I want to be also. I was kind of like ‘Girl please.’ I just laughed that off, brushed that one right off my shoulders. She doesn’t really know what she’s saying, so I can’t even be mad at her. She doesn’t even know the half.”
Many people didn’t know who Kanye’s fashion designer fiance was for a long time, but that’s mainly due to his newfound fame and people were still trying to discover who Kanye was.
GlobalGrind did some digging, so we have all the juice on Kanye’s ex-fiance Alexis. Alexis and Kanye met back in 2002 at an industry event. Kanye recalls, “Alexis was wearing Miss Sixty.” Yeezy continues, “I had on this throwback jersey, and the first thing I said to her, because I could tell she was stylish, was ‘I don’t normally dress like this!'”
Alexis is a fashion designer and has her own fashion line called Ghita, which was launched in 2005. As a Fashion Insitute of Design & Merchandising graduate, her impeccable style definitely caught Kanye’s eye back in the day.
Ghita by Alexis Phifer got it’s first fashion debut at New York City’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week back in 2008. Ever since then, Alexis has been a busy fashion guru, who is now a new mom since her break up with Kanye.
The couple famously broke off their 18-month engagement in 2008, which inspired Kanye to create an entire love-stricken album entitled “808s & Heartbreak.”
Since then Alexis has moved on with her life as a low key fashion designer, who really isn’t into the fame and excessive attention.
