America is all about second chances and there’s no greater proof than the deal Michael Vick has struck with Nike, Inc.
In an announcement today, the swoosh announced that it had re-signed the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback to an endorsement contract, a deal which will probably make a lot of people upset, especially the animal rights community.
“We have re-signed Michael Vick as a Nike athlete,” Nike said in a statement. “Michael acknowledges his past mistakes. We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.”
This is good for Michael because he is getting a second chance to show people that even though he made mistakes in the past, that it won’t effect his talents on and off the field.
