Lloyd has a new album out “King of Hearts,” a new haircut and a new head tattoo to match.
Lloyd stopped by BET’s “106 & Park yesterday” and debuted a new Guns & Roses tattoo on the back of his head. Lloyd got the new ink while down in New Orleans celebrating the Fourth of July.
The tattoo depicts two smoking revolvers wrapped around several roses. The tatoo is huge and covers the back of Lloyd’s head and wraps around the sides.
When asked about the meaning behind his new ink, Lloyd said, “I’m a contrast, I’m a walking contrast. I go from hard to soft. I go from the guns to roses, which is in my tatt, and I like to go from the streets to the sheets. I make street savvy R&B music but I also like to slow it down and be sensual at times.”
The tattoo also represents Lloyd’s love for his grandfather who passed away. “I lost my best friend in the world July 4th of last year, my grandfather, and the whole time I did it, I just thought about him, all the good times we shared.”
Fellow singer Miguel is known for rocking funky haircuts and doesn’t seem to like Lloyd’s new look. The singer tweeted, “Imitation is the Highest form of Flattery. Shout to Lloyd.” Shots fired.
