Some people say that wearing a jersey in public, if you don’t plan on attending a sporting event that day, is cliche.
We think that if it looks good and the jersey fits you the way it fits the athletes who have to wear them, then go for it!
Back in the ’90s, the jerseys of choice were baseball and hockey related. In the early 2000s it was the basketball jersey, which transitioned into the football jersey, which then evolved into the throwback jersey.
Since the introduction of the “button up” shirt to hip-hop culture, the jersey trend has died down significantly. But, like all things in fashion, it will soon make its return.
We think that slowly but surely, the sport we are borrowing our style from is soccer.
