Rupert Murdoch has been getting plenty of publicity lately, but not the kind he wants.

Murdoch’s newspapers have been under fire recently for being involved in some illegal hacking activities.

News of the World, Murdoch’s primary printing machine, shut down two days ago after it was revealed that they hacked the phones of murder victim Milly Dowler, as well as victims of the 7/7 attacks, the July 7, 2005 London bombings.

Murdoch’s feet are now on the fire and many of his publications are facing the heat. The thing is, News Corp is a conglomerate and if you think you can bring down, boycott or damage Murdoch, you better think twice.

Murdoch owns it all, from internet companies to television stations. If you think it’s easy to get rid of Murdoch, think again, because some of your favorite shows, magazines and newspapers are owned by the billioniare. 

Check out a few of your favorite things that may be pretty difficult to give up if you try to boycott Mr. Murdoch.

Say goodbye to Glee. Your favorite raunchy teen series is no more, because guess what, Murdoch owns Fox.

Something we didn’t know, Murdoch is part owner of the L.A. Lakers along with the Staple Center, so say goodbye to Kobe, Fisher and Ron Artest. If you want to boycott Murdoch, then you have to boycott the Lakers.

Love watching Bill O’Reilly? You may want to switch sides and start riding with Keith Olbermann on Current TV, because Murdoch owns Fox News.

Like rooting for the the New York Knicks and New York Rangers? Stop right now, Murdoch owns piece of the Knicks, the Rangers and Madison Square Garden.

Is Notorious your favorite movie? Well, it isn’t anymore. Fox Searchlight Pictures released the 2009 film about the murdered Brooklyn MC and guess who owns FSL? Murdoch.

Along with owning a piece of the Los Angles Lakers, Murdoch also is part owner of the L.A. Dodgers, along with the Dodger Stadium. No more hot dogs and beer at the ballpark for you!
