Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek tore his Achilles tendon while chasing down a woman who tried to rob him at his San Francisco hotel the other day.

The daily game show host was in town to host the National Geographic World Championship at Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.

Trebek has definitely stepped up his street cred among his game show counterparts. He’s the new tough guy in the circle of game show hosts and he has the scars to prove it.

Trebek is one guy we wouldn’t want to encounter in a dark alley.

The Wheel of Fortune host has been moderating the popular ‘Hangman’ for over 30 years. Pat first started hosting Wheel in 1981-1989, then took back his hosting duties in 1993.
