In last week’s episode of Keepin’ Up With The Kardashians Kim Kardashian showed the world her psoriasis.
Kim stated in a previous episode, “People don’t understand the pressure on me to look perfect. When I gain a pound, it’s in the headlines, so imagine what the tabloids will do to me when they see all these spots.”
This is a battle that she will have to face for the rest of her life, but with the support of her family, she will be just fine. Kim’s mom Kris Jenner has the same disease and offered Kim some encouraging words.
Another celebrity that has this disease is LeAnn Rimes, who has been a sufferer since the age of 2. LeAnn is even a spokesperson for the National Psoriasis Foundation.
She has urged those with the disease to “Stop Hiding and Start Living.”
Kim and LeAnn are just a few of the celebrity women who suffer from skin diseases, but are also empowering those who have it.
