With a movie named Cowboys & Aliens you’re bound to get two things, cowboys and aliens.

The movie opens up with a dazed and confused Daniel Craig waking up to find himself completely wiped of all memory, and a metal braclet on his arm.

Within the first five minutes, we get the drift that this is going to be one hell of a ride because no one does bloody faced mayhem like Daniel Craig.

The movie is set in the wild west during the year 1873, as Aliens invade the planet on a quest to steal the world’s gold and kidnap people to find out their weaknesses. Before he figures out what’s going on, Daniel Craig needs to find out who he is, what is this thing on his arm and of course, kick a bunch of cowboy ass.

Along his journey he gets a dog, meets a girl, (Olivia Wilde) and a bumps into the father of one of the cowboys he put his hands on, Harrison Ford

The movie is filled with hilarious slapstick moments and fight scenes that make you squirm, like Daniel Craig whipping a group of cowboys who tried to bring him in on bounty.

Also one thing left out of the title are the Native Americans, who play a big role in fighting the aliens alongside the cowboys.

While there are some cheesy moments in the film, like the Harrison Ford’s Native American posse member big moment, I did walk away feeling like I got my money’s worth and that was all you can ask for, along with the big round of applause the movie got at the screening.

This one is definitely worth my twelve bucks.
