The Neptunes started their new record label I Am Other and it is already being rumored that Tyler, the Creator is the very first artist to be signed to it!
The Odd Future leader is making great strides as a newcomer in the industry, but he has made it clear through Twitter that this is untrue.
It’s apparent that Pharrell Williams really digs the whole Odd Future gang, because he always talks highly of the music industry’s rowdiest members.
“They’re not getting the recognition in the mainstream media, but in the digital world they dominate – the 16-, 17-, 18-year-old virtuosos all over the world coming out of nowhere and just taking stake in their position. The Others are multifaceted, pro-active people who live outside the box and aren’t confined by categories,” Pharrell said.
The rumors of Pharrell signing Tyler don’t come as a surprise, seeing as he has been working with both Tyler and Frank Ocean a lot this summer.
