President Barack Obama made an unannounced trip to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to pay tribute to the 30 U.S. troops killed over the weekend in Afghanistan.

STORY: 31 American Troops Killed In Afghanistan

On Saturday, 30 servicemen were killed when their Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan.

Two of the servicemen were Navy SEALs, most of whom were members of SEAL Team 6, the counterterrorism unit that carried out the mission to kill Osama bin Laden. 

Although, none of those involved in the Bin Laden operation were among the dead. 

Obama arrived in Dover to pay his respects to the fallen U.S. troops.

Kraig Vickers of Haiku, Maui, a Navy bomb disposal team member, died when insurgents shot down the military chopper in Afghanistan.

Lt Cmdr Jonas Kelsall, is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, and was killed when a U.S. Chinook helicopter crashed in Afghanistan on Saturday.

Aaron Carson Vaughn is one of the elite soldiers who was on the shot down chopper.

Fallen service man Kevin Houston killed in action in Afghanistan.

Spencer Duncan of Olathe, Kansas, was serving as a door gunner on the helicopter when it was shot down.

Sgt Patrick Hamburger, 30, of Grand Island, Nebraska killed in action in Afghanistan.

Air Force Tech Sgt. John Brown was a paramedic whose unit was attached to the Navy SEALs.

Chief Petty Officer Robert James Reeves, is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, and was killed when a U.S. Chinook helicopter crashed in Afghanistan on Saturday.
