There seems to be a resurgence of the shoe, particularly the brogue shoe.

The brogue is defined as a strong outdoor shoe with ornamental perforated patterns in the leather.

The shoe has its roots in Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, but it has found its way to major cities and on the feet of fashionistas the world over.

Prada cannot keep their brogues in stock and other brands have taken notice.

Designers that have never really made shoes before are cleaning up their act and making brogues. Most of the time they are partnering with the “King of The Brogue,” Mark McNairy.

McNairy, who has his own collection of shoes and clothing, has been helping brands like A Bathing Ape and stores like Union, come up with their own take on the brogue shoe.

Quickly becoming the easiest way to show personality, the guys who have graduated from the sneaker are turning to the brogue to add some flare to their wardrobe.

Take a look at some of the brands who have made our favorite brogues for the season after the break!
