Big congrats are in order for Petra Nemcova, one of the planet’s most beautiful models and humanitarians, who will be joining her life with British actor Jamie Belman’s next year.

Nemcova has lots to be happy about. The supermodel survived a tsunami that devasted parts of Thailand in 2004, broke her hip while clinging to a tree for dear life and miraculously survived to tell the tale. After she recovered the Czech model founded The Happy Hearts Fund, an organization that builds schools for children devastated by natural disasters and, years later, became a contestant of Dancing With The Stars.
Yesterday, the Happy Hearts Fund held a cocktail benefit in NYC, the proceeds of which will build school in Port Au Prince, Haiti.
Nemcova’s charity may be found in nine countries so far, with over 50 schools and kindergartens have been built or rebuilt since 2004, benefiting more than 31,000 children and 335,000 community members.
