Last night was an emotional night for those who followed the execution of Troy Davis.
When the clock hit 7pm, many shed tears and thought Troy Davis was on his way to heaven, but nothing happened. Then as Big Boi tweeted “The mood is real chill,” cheers broke out as people got word that the execution was delayed.
Moods were high, there were rumors of a stay of education, but eventually we executed Troy Davis. We executed a man who may have been innocent.

I say we make a movie, right now. Make a movie so the memory of Troy Davis can live forever.
We can call it Dear Georgia, because we don’t know if Troy Davis killed a man. But we know who killed Troy Davis. We send this movie to them, and let them project Troy’s story on the side of Stone Mountain.
The movie should have the best director, so I say we tap Spike Lee, Ken Burns, Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg or even Oliver Stone to help paint a picture about too much doubt.
We can have Nicolas Cage play the role of Officer Mark Allen MacPhail, since they look just alike. We’ll call on a great actor like Anthony Mackie to play the role of Troy Davis. They do share the name of Anthony.
Morgan Freeman can play Troy Davis’ pastor and A-list actors and actresses can play their roles as extras. Dear Georgia, are you prepared to see yourself on the big screen?
