“We The Best, Who? We N*gga!”

DJ Khaled is known for this intro drop on most of his collaborative productions, and over the years he’s been criticized for using the n-word.

DJ Khaled, who is Palestinian, stopped by DJ Green Lantern’s radio show to address the issues of his use of the n-word.

When asked about his use of the n-word, DJ Khaled quickly responded “I’m a n*gga.”

DJ Khaled goes on to say, “I grew up like that. It’s slang. It’s actually a positive word the way that I use it, the way that Ace Hood is using it.”

He then recalls growing up in the hood in Florida, where people used to call him a “sand n*gga.”

“What makes me mad, ’cause when I grew up, n*ggas was calling me sand n*gga. Now, that’s ignorant, because there’s only one way to say it. You can’t say, ‘Yo what up my sand n*gga?’ That’s not the way we grew up in the streets.”

GlobalGrind had this discussion before, when Kreayshawn’s sister V-Nasty was using the n-word in her rhymes. Everyone should just stop saying it.

Take a look at DJ Khaled’s discussion and take the poll below to tell us what you think about the use of the n-word!
