Jamey’s mother, Tracy Rodemeyer, told The Today Show that Jamey’s sister was taunted by the same bullies right after his wake at a school dance.

Mrs Rodemeyer said:

‘She was having a great time, and all of a sudden a Lady Gaga song came on, and they all started chanting for Jamey, all of his friends. Then the bullies that put him into this situation started chanting, you’re better off dead! and We’re glad you’re dead! and things like that… It turned into bullying even after he’s gone.’

The 14-year-old was a big fan of Lady Gaga and sent her a message on Twitter saying ‘Bye mother monster, thank you for all you have done, paws up forever,’ before he killed himself.

Gaga is currently petitioning and working to make bullying illegal and even sang a special tribute to Jamey during her performance at the iHeartRadio festival last weekend in Las Vegas.
