Hank Williams, Jr., voice of the iconic Monday Night Football intro song, will no longer be a part of the 20 year telecast.

STORY: We Don’t Believe You! Hank Williams Jr. Says He’s Sorry

ESPN has decided to part ways with the performer, after he made controversial statements comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler.

As Reported By ESPN:

“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years.  The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”

Yesterday, Williams apologized for his insensitive comment, but it was to late, ESPN decided to boot the performer.

It’s sad that we won’t hear the iconic “Are you ready for some football” theme, but there are consequences when you say things that aren’t favorable to a company. Should have thought before you spoke, Hank!
