Could there be another Lee Harvey Oswald running loose around Washington D.C.?

Thankfully, President Obama wasn’t home on Tuesday when the Secret Service found two bullets, one of which cracked a White House window where Barack and his family live. But authorities are still investigating the near miss that caused a scare at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

In another incident, gunshots rang out last Friday night near the White House and now the Secret Service is investigating whether or not there was any connection between that shootout and the bullets found on Tuesday.

Not only is it frightening, it’s weird that a bullet was found near a window at the White House because it seems like a random attack and opens up a line of question that need answers.

Was the President a target of a failed assassination attempt? Was he even the target? Did someone miss their shot and has plans to try again?

STORY: Shots Fired Near White House! 

It isn’t the first time something unsettling happened at the biggest house on Pennsylvania Avenue.

In 1994, a small Cessna plane accidentally crashed and nearly hit the White House bedroom of then President Bill Clinton, while barely missing Secret Service agents stationed in the South Portico.

The Cessna passed the South Lawn, bounced off the grass just short of the White House, crashed through the branches of a magnolia tree and came to rest in a crumpled fiery heap below the Presidential bedroom.

Sadly, the pilot died in the crash.

So when it comes to weird instances at the White House, finding a bullet near a window ranks up there as one of the craziest.

Lincoln’s ghost is said to be the most active in the White House. 

This may be true because First Lady Michelle Obama said in 2009 that she and her husband, President Barack Obama, have been awakened from in the middle of the night after hearing strange sounds in the hall.

The White House is over a 219 years old, so there may be some strange things happening at 1600 Pennsylvania.

In 1891 the White House got its first shock of electricity installed. At the time, President Benjamin Harrison and his family would go to bed and leave all the new electric lights burning because they were afraid to touch the switches. He would have the White House staff turn them on and off.
