The 16 time Grammy winner will be producing songs for the play and says:

“As someone who walked up and down this boulevard as a young girl, I cannot describe the thrill of having the opportunity of composing songs for a Broadway show.”

“It’s honestly been a dream come true. I love the humor and humanity of Stick Fly, and I’m so excited to be a part of the emotional journey this show will take audiences on.”

Yesterday the 30-year-old singer showed up with the cast for a meet and greet at Cort Theater in New York City.

While she’s busy working, Alicia is still gushing about being the mother.

“Motherhood is a billion times better than I expected, and I already expected it to be great. It’s all the things everyone ever said, but you don’t know it until you’re there. It’s a really special time, and I feel so honored that I get to help somebody in this world find his wings, and navigate and learn happiness, and be loved. Actually, he’s helping me learn, because I’m smarter now. He’s awesome! I’m having a ball!”

That’s a blessing indeed.
