So Drake wears Cosby sweaters, he’s half-Jewish and he used to appear on a show called Degrassi where he played wheelchair Jimmy, right?

All these things aside, you can’t deny that Drake has talent and that he is one of the best in the game right now.

So why is it since his sophomore album Take Care was released, he is facing nothing but criticism and skepticism?

Now of course everyone is going to have their opinion, but why hasn’t his success silenced the critics and the haters? The argument is that Drake sings too much, his music is for women and that he is a pop artist rather than a rapper.

For those who don’t know what pop means, it means popular. So yeah, of course he is popular!

STORY: Is Drake Getting A Sweater Line With Missoni?

The fact that he switches his flow and sings on his tracks shouldn’t be an issue. If anything, this makes him stand out in a industry where everyone is a rapper. Drake has been doing this since the beginning of his career, so if you don’t like it then there are plenty of other artists you can listen to. You want to get rowdy then pop in MOP or Mobb Deep because Take Care isn’t for you. Listening to Drake doesn’t make you soft. Truth be told, real men listen to R&B.

Take Care is a great body of work comprised of both a mix of R&B and hip-hop tracks. He once again opens up his mind and heart for his audience. Though there are songs I can do without, overall I can appreciate the album for what it is.

STORY: Ludacris Fights Shots At Drake!

Drake is bringing it on this album with his cocky demeanor and flow, proving that he is a force to be reckoned with. The best track on the album by far is the Just Blaze produced “Lord Knows” featuring Rick Ross. If you still have something to say about Drake after listening to it, then something is truly wrong.

Drake has come a long way and we should respect his grind and hustle. He has been working consistently and in a industry where music isn’t selling like it used to, Drake is still on top.

Take Care is slated to sell 700, 000 in it’s first week, so who has the last laugh?

Drake’s reign isn’t tapering off anytime soon, so either love it or leave it alone.
