The National Retail Federation estimates that the number of shoppers hitting stores the day after Thanksgiving will be up 10 percent from last year. And retailers are going all in; some stores are open 24 hours while others have been open since 10pm Thanksgiving night.

Target, Macy’s and Best Buy all opened their doors at midnight, while Toys R Us and Walmart open their stores at midnight on Thanksgiving Day.

In this strapped struggling economy an estimated 152 million people are expected to shop over Black Friday weekend.

It’s sure to be a wild stampeding shopping frenzy weekend and already it has gotten violent.

Shot On Black Friday!

A 55-year-old woman was shot in the foot during a robbery attempt after Black Friday shopping at the Walmart in Myrtle Beach. According to Myrtle Beach Police the shooting took place at around 1:13 a.m.

A woman, 58, with the victim told officers the victim and another person, a 25-year-old man, were at the trunk of their vehicle when she heard the victim scream.

Brawling At Walmart!

Black Friday was barely a minute old when fights broke out at a Walmart in Rome, sending two shoppers to the hospital and landing at least one more in trouble, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said.

A few shoppers were pushed to the floor near a cell phone display and several fights erupted about 12:01 a.m. after shoppers were let into the electronics department at the Walmart at 5815 Rome Taberg Road, sheriff’s officials said.

Pepper Sprayed!

A Los Angeles woman went wild and crazy when she pepper sprayed black Friday shoppers at a local Walmart. The unidentified woman injured 20 Walmart shoppers after a free for all shopping bonanza.
