Proving once again that misery loves company, Motorola today launched two expensive Anroid tablets called Droid Xyboards, as well as a white Droid Rzr.

STORY: Motorola To Launch Two Rzr Inspired Tablets

According to Motorola, the two tablets are “lighter than a paperback book and thinner than an AAA battery.” The tablets will run the new Google’s new Android 3.2 Honeycomb. No word if the OS will be bumped to Ice Cream. We’re sure some genius over XDA Developers will figure out a way to make that happen.

The tablets come into two screen sizes: 10.1-inches and 8.2-inches. A dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 4G LTE connectivity via Verizon’s high-speed data network are standard. Each tablet has  5 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, digital zoom, and autofocus. A 1.3 MP camera is on the front.

The price point is why Motorola’s repeating history: The 10.1-inch model: $529.99 for the 16 GB model, $629.99 for the 32 GBs, and $729.99 for 64 GBs when purchased with a two-year contract. The 8.2-inch version in turn will retail for $429.99 for 16 GB and $529.99 for 32 GBs.

It sounds like the Motorola Xoom all over again!
