The musical world has been buzzing ever since 50 Cent announced on Twitter that he signed Jersey Shore star Pauly D to his G-Note Records label, a label that will specialize in dance and pop music.

50 chopped it up with MTV in New York City on Monday, during the launch party for his SMS Audio headphones line.

50 eagerly explained some of the album details of his newest signee.

“Pauly’s project is not all his performance on the actual records,” Fif explained. “It’s more like what you would get from a DJ Khaled or DJ Drama but also what you would get from David Guetta — so it’s a cross between those two worlds, and I think it’s exciting.”

Considering that DJ Drama and DJ Khaled are hip-hop DJs and David Gutta is a house music DJ, this has us really excited about where Pauly D is going to take his music.

Apparently, 50 is too because he boldly said, “We’re gonna make a hit record.”

Even though Pauly D has earned a great amount of infamy from Jersey Shore, the Rhode Island native has made a nice little living by still DJing. Pauly D even DJed for Britney Spears during the pop star’s Femme Fatale tour.
