Every pop star seems to be in the Christmas sprit this year. The latest one to join in the joy this season is Kelly Clarkson.

The Ex-American Idol winner just dropped “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” her remake to Bing Crosby’s classic ode to Christmas.
While singers like Justin Bieber have released more poppy sounding and up-beat musical anthems when remaking Christmas songs, Kelly’s first step in the Christmas vortex this year is subdued and jazzy sounding, which matches the tone of the 1943 original.

While Crosby’s version was dominated by melodramatic strings, Kelly uses a faint piano and heavy horns to create the Christmas magic.
Her voice sounds strong on this and we think if Mr. Crosby was still around, he would be proud.
“I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” is the first single off of her iTunes exclusive EP, which will be available to download on December 27th.
