President Barack Obama is certain that he will be re-elected in 2012 and was making a strong case last night on 60 Minutes.

In the exclusive interview, Obama said that it doesn’t matter who the Republican candidate is because the core philosophy of the GOP is the same and will stand in sharp relief with his own.

The President said if voters believe in the Republican agenda of lower taxes, including for the wealthy and weaker regulations, then he will lose.

“I don’t think that’s where the American people are going to go because I don’t think the American people believe that based on what they’ve seen before, that’s going to work.”

When speaking on candidates such as Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, Obama said:

“The contrast in visions between where I want to take the country and what … where they say they want to take the country is going to be stark. And the American people are going to have a good choice and it’s going to be a good debate.”

We certainly can’t wait, there isn’t a standout yet in the Republican field and the President is confident that the American people will make the right choice in 2012.

Politics aside, the President had a chance to hang out with a guy that has better approval ratings than he does: Justin Bieber.

The Biebs, joined by entertainers such as Cee-Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson, Conan O’Brien and The Band Perry were all in attendance at the 30th annual Christmas In Washington concert.

The concert of Christmas Carols took place at the National Building Museum and was hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.
Before the concert, Obama said this is the “season to celebrate miracles” and spoke about the story of Jesus’ birth during a short speech to the crowd.

He said the story of Jesus Christ has changed the world by teaching basic values such as loving one another, serving the less fortunate and keeping the faith. Obama said “Those are values that are shared by all faiths. Let us all rededicate ourselves to each other in that spirit.”

Judging by the pictures it was a great concert, check it out this Friday on TNT!
