New music from John Legend is starting to surface, so you know an album is on the horizon. “Chasing Your Love” is a new record from Legend you must pay attention to. Need some music to set the mood right for the Misses? Fellas, need to clean up a mess with your woman? This is the one you need her to hear.

“Chasing Your Love” is fresh to ‘def’. All those who know about the first Saturdays party at the Brooklyn Museum, this is that kind of record.

The buzz is crazy on 50 Cent and his upcoming Big 10 mixtape. A few joints have been flying around BUT this week he dropped the “Wait Until Tonight” record. Producer Scoop Deville re-works the Bobby Womack classic titled the same, but updates and flips the drums. The video is definietly worth watching. Not only is it a commercial for Fifs Sleek headphones but it features eye candy Diana Escotto looking soo right! This record will definitely get play in the clubs as it’s a ladies record only Fitty could do.

Good to see Mystikal back making dope music. He recently linked up with the hometown New Orleans saints from YMCMB, which is only right. This week they leaked his latest track “Original” which features Birdman on the hook and a crazy 16 from, yes, Weezy Tunechi. Mystikal is really breathing heavy on this. His style is so underrated but if you peep what he saying on this record you hear nothing but skills wrapped in a real message. Enjoy.

The employee of the year, Asher Roth is back to work. Peep this new track he put out with Action Bronson, “Choices.” If your a fan of the portly chef from Flushing named Action Bronson then you know all about his many YouTube cooking videos. I admit I’ve stolen a few tips.

But he can also hard boil egg MC’s in a battle quicker then one minute instant oatmeal. Asher Roth is known for his witty, surburban, smoked out cool Cali flow. His wordplay on this requires several listens in order to decipher the message he’s dropping. Wack rappers beware.

I heard this new Will.i.am record “Great Times ” at least a half dozen ‘times’ this week at various holiday parties. I promise this will be a hit. It’s that’s Happy New Year type of record that will be heard well into the summer months of 2012. Will is a genius and he cares about the kids, that’s why I’m a fan. Even still, I miss Black Eyed Peas days of Joints n Jams…I’m just saying. Until we Read Again.
