Back on October 8th, thousands of Michael Jackson’s friends, family and most fanatical fans got together at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales to honor the late, great King of Pop.

The “Michael Forever” tribute concert had artists like Cee Lo, Christina Aguilera, Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx all in the house, performing and shutting the stage down.

Beyonce wasn’t on that stage in Wales that night. However, she still had the performance of the night.

Our current Queen of Pop performed a groovy and moving rendition of Jackson 5’s all-time classic, “I Wanna Be Where You Are.”

It took a while for that footage to leak, but it finally has and it’s fantastic.

A slightly showing Beyonce — who was in the states at the time so her performance was broadcast over the big screen — rocked a retro ’70s style wig and a slinky Diana Ross-type dress.

Before she performed, Bey talked about what MJ meant to her and her career. She said:

“I remember seeing Michael Jackson for the first time, Lord knows I fell in love. Watching him, I realized exactly what I wanted to be. He inspired me so much. As a matter of fact, the first song I ever performed with Destiny’s Child was a Jackson 5 song. It’s called ‘I Wanna Be Where You Are.’ It was the song we auditioned to get our record deal. It was the beginning of our future. I love you forever, Michael Jackson.”

Sweet, sweet words Miss B. And a even sweeter performance.
